Services

VHVH is a full service Veterinary Hospital.  We offer full life services from preventative care such as education and vaccinations to grooming, training, internal medicine and surgical care through every step of their lives. Learn more about what each of our services have to offer below.

Dog Health l Vaccines

Vaccines are an important aspect of preventative medicine not only in our pets’ health, but also in our community.  Guide-lines have been developed from decades of research by veterinarians and immunologists.  At VHVH, we recognize these guidelines and try to adjust vaccine protocols to each individual patient’s needs.

Cat Health l Vaccines

Vaccines are an important aspect of preventative medicine not only in our pets’ health, but also in our community.  Guide-lines have been developed from decades of research by veterinarians and immunologists.  At VHVH, we recognize vaccine protocols to each individual patient’s needs.

Dental Care

Frequent dental care is important to limit necessary surgical procedures of cleaning and polishing your pet’s teeth.  Dental examinations are performed during your pet’s annual exam.  Your pet’s doctor will explain the grade of your pet’s teeth and if cleaning and polishing is recommended, they will provide an estimate and answer any questions you may have.

Surgery

Your pet will most likely become a surgical candidate multiple times throughout their life, starting with a spay or neuter procedure.  Surgical procedures range from standard spays and neuters to dental cleanings, tumor removals, and orthopedic procedures such as cruciate repairs and luxating patella procedures.  If your pet’s health would benefit from such procedures, their doctor will be happy to explain any questions or concerns you may have.

Laser Therapy

We are excited to offer our clients Laser Therapy.  Laser therapy provides a non-invasive, pain-free, surgery-free, drug-free treatment which is used to treat a variety of conditions and can be performed in conjunction with existing treatment protocols.  Relief and/or improvement is often noticed within hours depending on the condition and your pet’s response.  Whether your pet is rehabilitating from trauma or injury healing from wounds, or simply aging, your companion can benefit from this innovative approach to treating pain.

Radiology & Ultrasound

Radiographs are the most common form of imaging we use.  They are useful for diagnosing things such as tumors, fractures, and foreign bodies.  Ultrasounds are painlessly performed by a veterinarian.  By using a transducer probe, they scan the concerning areas (typically abdominal) to produce images to aid in a diagnosis of the problem or simply detecting pregnancy.  Radiographs The liver, spleen, kidneys, bladder, reproductive organs, stomach, pancareas, intestinal tract, adrenal glands and lymph nodes can all be detected on an ultrasound.

Grooming

VHVH is a full service facility, including grooming!  We offer “bath & brush” including a nail trim, external anal gland expression, and ear cleaning.  Our FULL grooming services also include the “bath & brush”, nail trim, external anal gland expressions, ear cleaning plus the hair cut/style that you request.

Boarding & Daycare

Clinical studies and real-world use over several decades have proven that laser therapy alleviates pain and inflammation, reduces swelling, stimulates nerve regeneration, and cells involved in tissue repair. VHVH provides two small boarding facilities-our cat condos at the front of the practice as well s kennels ranging from small to extra large, allowing us to give your pet a “home away from home” while you’re on vacation.  We require your pet to be a patient of ours, meaning they must have a current exam with us in order to evaluate their personality and needs.
